Environment is our surrounding. This include living and non-living things around us. the component living to our environment is germs, plants, animal and people. The non-living component of our environment are land, water and air.
All plants and animal would like the environment in which they are born and live. A charge in any component of the environment may cause discomfort and effect normal life. Any unfavorable change or generation in the environment is know as ' Environmental Pollution'.
We as a student university want and need to protect our environment to live happily.

According to a book written by P. Narayanan "Environmental Pollution: Principles, Analysis and Control" defines, the enviroment literally means the surrounding. The enviroment is the aggregate of all those things and set of conditions which directly or indirectly influence not only the life of organism but also the communities at a particular place.

The nature and concentration of a pollutant determines the severity of detrimental effects on human health. An average human requires about 12 kg of air each day, which is nearly 12 to15 times greater than the amount of food we eat. Thus even a small concentration of pollutants in the air becomes more significant in comparison to the similar levels present in food.
